We pick up for free at any of these fine establishments once per week on Mondays. We then return your luggage to the same store for free when completed, also on Mondays. All communication is done by email. If you need an evaluation quickly, please come see us in person. Please use these locations for luggage and handbags only. All instrument cases and oversized bike bags need to be brought to us directly.
Evaluating warranty work is complex process and has to be done in person.

DEPENDS ON STYLE YOU BUY & RANGES FROM DEFECTS ONLY TO ALL FUNCTIONAL ASPECTS EXCEPT COSMETIC REPAIRS (In the rare occurrence we have to ship in your luggage directly to Victorinox for warranty repair you will have to pay the freight in and we have a $15 fee to handle and process the shipment).
DEFECTS ONLY & MUST HAVE RECEIPT FOR WARRANTY WORK TO BE CONSIDERED. OLDER HARTMANN LINES ARE NOW SUBJECT TO THEIR DEFECT ONLY POLICY WITH FEW EXCEPTIONS.
Most defects are out of the bag in the first few years with rare exceptions. Many companies DO NOT consider wheels, zippers, or handles defective outside of this timeline regardless of the length of the warranty (i.e. 1yr, 10yrs, or lifetime). If your warranty card states DEFECTS ONLY, the warranty is limited to that and will not cover wear and tear from normal use. Your warranty card is a legal document that should be kept by you in the case of a potential defect occuring.
This wait is due mostly to volume and part orders.
We will inform you of any issues with your part order that we are made aware of should they arise. Please understand we normally aren't aware of issues until 3-4 weeks have passed and your part has not arrived.
We cannot track if the wrong part was sent if we do not have the bag present, and some companies charge us for parts up front even for warranty work reimbursing us later.
We have a 24 hour RUSH Service that can be used when dropping off in person. The cost is $20. Not all repairs can be rushed.

If your repair can be rushed we can do a 7 Day turn-around for $20. Please see our Drop Off Location Page for more information.
You may be responsible for freight both ways and as we cannot promise repairs without seeing the bag, it may not be repairable or financially feasible to repair.
Yes & No
If your repair is covered under your manufacturer's warranty, then yes they will pay return freight only, but they do not reimburse us for our time and cost, nor do they provide us with boxes so we have a $15 handling fee to ship your bag home.
If your luggage is not repairable, but the repair falls under the manufacturer's warranty, then YES they will replace your luggage with a new piece or issue you a credit for a new piece.
